This Acceptable Use Policy (the "AUP") sets out the conduct that is prohibited when using any WPPBX service. It applies to every person who uses WPPBX services, including visitors to the partner directory, Partners, Customers and their end users.

The AUP exists to keep the platform safe, lawful and reliable for everyone. Breach of the AUP may result in suspension or termination of access to the Services, liability for losses caused to WPPBX and third parties, and cooperation with lawful law-enforcement requests.

“WPPBX” refers to the legal entity identified in section 1 of our Privacy Policy, where the full registered name, registration number and registered address are set out.

1. Scope

1.1 This AUP applies to every use of the Services and to every person acting under the account of a Customer or Partner.

1.2 Where you provide access to the Services to end users, you are responsible for their compliance with this AUP.

2. Prohibited Content and Conduct

2.1 You may not use the Services to create, transmit, store or facilitate content that:

  • Is unlawful, infringes the rights of a third party, or is defamatory, harassing, threatening, obscene or hateful;
  • Sexually exploits, harms or endangers a minor, or promotes any form of child sexual abuse;
  • Facilitates human trafficking, terrorism, self-harm, or serious crime;
  • Constitutes malware, spyware, phishing, ransomware payload, exploit code or an attack tool;
  • Breaches any applicable law, regulation or court order, including telecommunications, data-protection, consumer-protection, export-control and sanctions law.

3. Regulated Telephony Use

3.1 The Services are subject to telecommunications regulation in most jurisdictions. You may not:

  • Originate or facilitate unlawful telemarketing, robocalls or autodialed calls in breach of the telemarketing and do-not-call laws of the calling or called jurisdiction;
  • Engage in SIM-box fraud, traffic pumping, revenue-share fraud or other toll fraud;
  • Breach caller-ID or caller-line-identification requirements, or otherwise obfuscate the origin of a call in a manner contrary to law (spoofing caller-ID for fraudulent purposes is prohibited);
  • Call emergency-services numbers or government hotlines otherwise than in bona fide emergency;
  • Record, transcribe or store calls without obtaining the consent required by the law of the caller’s and callee’s jurisdictions, or without giving any required disclosure.

3.2 The Services do not provide emergency-services calling. You must ensure end users are informed of this limitation and maintain an alternative means of contacting emergency services.

4. Platform Integrity

4.1 You may not:

  • Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Services without prior written authorisation from WPPBX;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Services, to any other customer’s data or to any underlying infrastructure;
  • Circumvent, disable or interfere with any authentication, rate limiting, anti-abuse or security feature;
  • Use the Services to distribute denial-of-service traffic or to participate in a botnet;
  • Exceed the resource limits of your subscription by technical means (for example, by automating the creation of accounts or tenants to bypass plan caps).

5. Data, Privacy and Consent

5.1 You must have a lawful basis for every category of personal data you submit to the Services, and you must provide the affected individuals with the privacy information required by applicable law.

5.2 You may not submit to the Services:

  • Children’s personal data without an applicable lawful basis under GDPR or POPIA;
  • Special-category data (health, biometric, genetic, political, religious or sex-life data) without the explicit consent or other lawful basis required by applicable law;
  • Payment-card data outside channels explicitly approved by WPPBX and PCI-DSS compliant.

6. Reporting Abuse

6.1 To report suspected abuse of the Services, email [email protected] with the detail you have (reference numbers, date and time, offending content). We respond to verified reports within one (1) business day.

6.2 We may share aggregate abuse statistics with the wider telecommunications community as part of our commitment to platform hygiene.

7. Enforcement

7.1 Where we determine, on reasonable grounds, that this AUP has been breached, we may take one or more of the following measures, proportionate to the breach:

  • Issue a warning;
  • Suspend the feature, tenant or account concerned, with or without prior notice;
  • Terminate the subscription or agreement under the Commercial Terms;
  • Cooperate with law-enforcement or regulatory agencies under lawful request, including by preserving or disclosing account records;
  • Pursue a civil claim for damages caused by the breach.

7.2 Our rights under this AUP are in addition to any rights we have under the Commercial Terms, the Reseller Policy of Service, the Tenant Policy or applicable law.

8. Changes

8.1 We may revise this AUP from time to time. Each revision is published through the Policy Manager with an effective date and a summary of material changes.

8.2 Contact: [email protected] for abuse reports; [email protected] for general AUP questions.
